Lassington Solar Farm & BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) will help combat climate change and improve the UK’s energy security by generating clean, renewable energy. The solar farm would have an approximate capacity of 40MW with 40MW of battery storage. The solar farm will create enough clean, renewable energy to power approximately 9,971 homes per annum. This represents an annual CO2 saving equivalent to taking 2,810 cars off the road each year.

The co-located battery storage facility will supply electricity to the electricity network at times of peak energy demand and help make the renewable energy output of the solar farm a secure and reliable part of the UK energy supply.
